Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt Ltd (HCCB) – one amongst India’s top FMCG companies – received the prestigious FICCI Road Safety Awards 2019 under the Journey Risk Management category at a function held at the FICCI House, New Delhi yesterday. The awards were presented by Shri. Baijayant Jay Panda, National Vice President, BJP, at the road safety conference on the theme - Motor Vehicle (Amendment) Act, 2019 – A Step Towards Safer Mobility - organised to mark the occasion.
HCCB won the award in recognition of its commitment to enhancing compliance risk assessment processes for making journeys by road more informative, convenient and safer. Among other things, HCCB won appreciation for running robust Driver Management Centres in 19 locations across its countrywide network of factories and depots with the ultimate objective of eliminating road accidents in their logistics. The award also recognises HCCB’s initiatives of using data and technology that provide actionable insights on the behaviours that the drivers demonstrate while driving.
Reflecting on the significance of the award, Dinesh Jadhav, Executive Director, Supply Chain, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt Ltd said, “When it comes to sensible and proportionate management of safety risks, we have consistently given ourselves targets which are often tougher than the prevailing industry norms. These awards encourage us further to raise the bar for road safety through our driver management centres. My congratulations to the entire team and the larger HCCB family for winning this award!”
FICCI, in its endeavour to promote road safety initiatives, instituted ‘Road Safety Awards' which are conferred every year on corporates, PSUs & Schools, under different categories, for their outstanding work in the area of road safety.
The HCCB logo is an affirmation of our core values. Much like the Indian ethos, we too, seek humility, progress, care, compassion and inclusivity. We too are curious, colourful and diverse.
Our logo has three components:
1) HCCB wordmark
The colourful wordmark captures the vibrant spirit and diversity of India. Between the four colours in the wordmark, they combine the primary or secondary colours of the top 8 selling brands of HCCB. The two Cs in the logo come together to form the infinity symbol; a symbol of the infinite opportunities that India as a country has to offer and HCCB as a company has to leverage. The imperfect letters in the logo is simply an assertion of our core value of not striving for perfection but progress.
2) The company name
The company name is written in the Noto Sans font, which is designed to be harmonious across multiple languages.
3) The brand proposition
The company’s brand proposition ‘Inspired by India’ summarises our purpose and our soul. We are Indian and India brings the best out of us.
