Bangalore, March 6, 2020 – Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB), one of India’s top FMCG companies, plans to celebrate the International Women's Day with a campaign titled as #MenAsAllies to strengthen and promote a culture of gender equality across the organisation. The month-long celebration includes launch of several programmes that would make men and women equal partners in their journey in HCCB.
Christina Ruggiero, CEO, HCCB, launched 3 major initiatives - ‘Maternity Support Programme’, ‘Back to Work Programme for Women’ and ‘Women's Network’ for its employees at a programme held at the company’s headquarters in Bengaluru today.
Reflecting on the significance of the policy initiatives, Christina said that each of the policy was aimed at making everyone at the workplace feel respected and included. She reiterated, “At HCCB, we continue to celebrate men on women’s day in our efforts to promote gender equality.”
The Maternity Programme is aimed at providing all necessary support including medical advice and counselling to both men and women employees. The programme provides for planned interventions by experts, managing pre and post- delivery changes and back-to-work preparation allowing them to seamlessly join the work back. The Back to Work Programme is designed to help women on a career break make a gradual transition back into the corporate workspace.
The company also plans to provide a six month of internship to these women to help them acquire necessary skillsets and regain their confidence before they are inducted into the workforce. Besides, HCCB also announced the launch of Women’s Network Programme, which is created as a platform for all working women to come together and help each other in all matters, both personal as well as professional.
As part of the campaign, HCCB conducted a panel discussion with industry allies to deliberate and share their personal experiences focusing on the need to have men involved in the conversations on Gender Equality.

The HCCB logo is an affirmation of our core values. Much like the Indian ethos, we too, seek humility, progress, care, compassion and inclusivity. We too are curious, colourful and diverse.
Our logo has three components:
1) HCCB wordmark
The colourful wordmark captures the vibrant spirit and diversity of India. Between the four colours in the wordmark, they combine the primary or secondary colours of the top 8 selling brands of HCCB. The two Cs in the logo come together to form the infinity symbol; a symbol of the infinite opportunities that India as a country has to offer and HCCB as a company has to leverage. The imperfect letters in the logo is simply an assertion of our core value of not striving for perfection but progress.
2) The company name
The company name is written in the Noto Sans font, which is designed to be harmonious across multiple languages.
3) The brand proposition
The company’s brand proposition ‘Inspired by India’ summarises our purpose and our soul. We are Indian and India brings the best out of us.
