With the lemon peel outside and the zesty flavour inside, Sprite, Juicy+ promises an extra dose of lemony refreshment

Continuing with its portfolio expansion plan, HCCB launched Sprite Juicy+, the fruit juice version of the Sprite brand in 2018. The drink that comes with the real lemon juice, promises to give its consumers a blast of natural refreshment.

The fruit variant thus takes the refreshment to the next level clubbing the zest of natural tanginess in the drink with ever so cool signature taste of Sprite. As such, its mother brand, Sprite, is always known to offer a punch of refreshment. The fruit juice variant of one of India’s top-selling carbonated drinks thus leaves the consumers’ taste buds with lasting flavour providing them with a lemony refreshment.

Sprite Juicy+ contains 5.1 per cent real lemon juice, extracted from lemons sourced from the local market. Earlier in 1996, the company had started adding fruit juice to its aerated drinks with Fanta in 2016, a practice that has truly helped augment fruit sales of Indian farmers.

The look of Sprite Juicy+ is inspired by the citrus fruit. The bottle depicts a lemon peel on the outside, indicating the snappy flavour of lemon with a fizzy sprite that gives its consumers enough refreshing treat.

The fruit variant’s mother brand, Sprite was launched in India by the Coca-Cola Company in 1999. The drink, that is colourless, caffeine-free, lemon and lime-flavoured, was first developed in West Germany in 1959 as Fanta Klare Zitrone, ‘Clear Lemon Fanta’ and was introduced in the United States under the current brand name Sprite in 1961.
